Terms of Service

Welcome to Jotspend. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Jotspend mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Hadi ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

By creating an account or using Jotspend, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration and Responsibilities

You may sign in to Jotspend using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Jotspend offers subscription plans that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are processed and managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system via RevenueCat.

• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Managing subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store.
• Apple's terms: All purchases are subject to Apple's Terms of Service and applicable App Store policies. We do not directly process payment information.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be directed to Apple, as they handle all billing. We are unable to issue refunds directly.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and you will be notified in advance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Jotspend only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

• Use the Service to store, transmit, or process any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to develop a competing product or service.
• Upload content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or collect data from the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, AI models, branding, logos, and all related content, is the exclusive property of Jotspend and its creator. All rights are reserved.

You retain ownership of the expense data and content you submit through the Service. By using Jotspend, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and analyze your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

6. AI-Powered Features

Jotspend uses artificial intelligence to parse expenses from text, voice input, and receipt images. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all expense data. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-processed information.

7. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Jotspend, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not provide financial, tax, or accounting advice. Jotspend is an expense tracking tool, and you should consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Jotspend, its creator, affiliates, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jotspend and its creator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time through the app. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law.

Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law shall survive any termination of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
